THE EVOLUTION OF AMERICA By Sammy Sorrell After decades of study and research, I believe that America was intended, discovered and founded as a very choice land for a very special purpose under a God who led people from other parts of the planet to populate the nation. Biblical history reveals that would not be the first time the Lord led a people to another land for a special purpose. Under a God-inspired constitution America would become a beacon to the rest of the world with the light of freedom shining like the moon and the sun. In the nation's beginning God remained in our lives and we attempted to follow His roadmap "The Ten Commandments." The constitution offered the perfect framework foundation for our Republic form of government. Notwithstanding a civil war to give all citizens in the nation their freedom, decades ago America had all the ingredients of a unified nation with leaders that commanded respect. Politics had not yet emerged as the all consuming God of the land. A government for the people and by the people was not an idle phrase-it was real and the people knew it was real and felt it was real. The nation's military, technological and economic growth was unparalleled perhaps in the history of the world. Individuals felt a great patriotism and loyalty to the nation. A man would drop his plow at the end of the furrow and gladly serve his nation or community for a couple of years then go back and pick up the plow and get on with his life. Family life was the basic strength of the nation, love and service for our neighbors was the great secondary strength. Millions sought citizenship (legally) to become an American each year. Sure our nation had strong differences of opinion because of our right to freedom of speech under the U.S. constitution. But the right was somewhat tempered with moral responsibility. Notwithstanding its wars, the American nation became the most powerful of all nations and the envy of the world. Then America began to evolve toward secularism and away from the God who blessed the nation-a sure road to ultimate destruction. A CULTURE WAR EVOLVES IN AMERICA In the 20th century if not earlier, a self-centered counter culture begins to evolve in America. This counter-culture can best be described as a culture seeking a utopia of peace without God Click Here. The core doctrines of this counter culture are selfishness, instant gratification, situation ethics, immorality, extreme behavior, carnal desire and violence. Since 1964 crime increased by 350%. Click Here. Approximately 25 million unborn babies are killed and aborted in a 30-year period Click Here. The public media and entertainment media became prime marketers for the products of immorality. Pornography becomes a $50 billion per year industry. Freedom of speech becomes the crutch for every type of extreme behavior, both physical and vocal Click Here . The anti-Christian movement picks up momentum. The nation is being divided and split in the culture war Click Here. It is clearly a battle between good and evil, secularism and traditional values. The government is totally unprepared for the effects of this culture war making decisions that begin to err on the side of the counter culture and extreme behavior Click Here. Outrageous behavior becomes a popular phrase description. Drugs and alcohol change the social landscape of the nation with crime, death and destruction of families becoming the collateral damage as the divorce rate soars to 52%. The DWI's kill more Americans than in all our wars combined Click Here. Children become the victims and help populate the gangs. The counter culture becomes very vocal about 1st Amendment rights and true justice in America is in short supply. The judicial system becomes a revolving door for criminals as a dominant lawyer culture reaps the economic benefits. The entire criminal justice system with the penal system included breaks down. Over 570,000 ex-cons are released back out on the streets annually putting citizens at great risk. Illegal immigrants storm across our borders at a rate of over one million per year Click Here. 80,000 of those illegals have known criminal records and law enforcement loses track of them. The illegal immigrant population becomes a negative factor in many areas of the nation. It would be naive to assume that no offshore terrorists came across our borders with weapons of mass destructions and they lie in wait for the opportune time to nuke one of our cities. Our mid-east enemy nations tighten the screws on the world oil supply siphoning off American dollars in the largest wealth transfer in the history of the world. All this happens while America's politicians focus on partisan politics for over 40 years without one single oil refinery being constructed in the nation Click Here. The mid-east nations controlling the world oil supply discovered in the 1970's that oil was their chief weapon to bring our great nation down to its economic knees. Our nation suddenly was faced with a real energy crisis. The performance rating of the professional politicians plummet to an all time low. The culture war is taking its toll. PROFESSIONAL POLITICS EMERGES AS THE GOD OF THE NATION The government and the nation becomes paralyzed by professional politics. President Ronald Reagan offered surprising leadership and hope for the nation in a hostile political environment. After the Reagan administration politics reverted back to the status quo and continued to divide the nation as the culture war took up its position in government. Immorality in the White House in the Clinton administration and the denial thereof was the showcase example. The biased public media entered the culture war almost totally abandoning traditional reporting of the news in favor of "making" the news from their own biased political viewpoint and agenda Click Here. Contrary to the U.S. constitution that there shall be no ruling class, a dominant lawyer culture becomes the ruling class in the nation controlling all the entrances and exits to the laws of the nation. During the past five decades this dominant culture has risen to a high of 65% population in the federal congress. 24 of the 43 presidents have been lawyers with some half dozen lawyers coveting the powerful office of the president in the 2008 presidential race with two lawyers emerging to fight over the Democrat nomination prize. In the third branch of government the judicial, this branch has become a stronghold for nine lawyers with robes on. A grim picture of a ruling class emerges. Since a nation is a reflection of its laws and how those laws are administered, effectively lawyers are ruling the nation. Lawyers are making the laws. Lawyers are judging us in the laws. Lawyers are defending us in the laws. Lawyers are prosecuting us in the laws. Lawyers are interpreting the laws and lawyers are administering the laws. What a dangerous constitutional nightmare Click Here. Any legal justice reform of any substance for the past five decades has been almost totally non-existent. The result is a revolving door criminal justice system and run-away crime that has gained the nation the right to be called the most violent nation on earth Click Here. The civil justice system has become a lawyer business opportunity both financial and political with justice totally subordinated to the business opportunity. Now what do we see? More lawyers grasping for the power of the American presidency with two lawyers emerging for the Democrats to battle for the great power prize. A NATION BECOMES STARVED FOR TRUE LEADERSHIP The great American nation becomes starved for true leadership. Where there is no true leadership at the top there is no vision for the people. Absent moral responsibility in national leadership a nation will become a reflection of that type of leadership. The great principles of choice and consequence will become blurred in society as self-interest and self-gratification rules. When a nation loses its direction for moral responsibility it has lost its important foundation. The great American nation's citizens have become disenfranchised by a government consumed by partisan politics and a lack of moral responsibility. Professional politics dominate the spotlight in every meaningful social issue of any substance in America. The government is paralyzed in a political struggle of partisan greed and power with great hatred and division. The door is left ajar for leadership seeking even greater greed and power. Because of the lack of moral responsibility in leadership and the urgent need for legal justice reform, American citizens become more vulnerable daily to homegrown terrorism (crime in America). Murders, assaults, rape, child abuse, domestic abuse, kidnapping, robbery, theft and a host of immoral offenses resulting in death and injury stemming from alcohol, drugs and other immoral practices has overwhelmed American citizens. Leadership with moral responsibility does not bubble up from the bottom it filters down from the top. When there are no true leaders of the people with moral vision at the top watch out. Many believe we are now on the eve of vigilante justice as shootings and violence increase toward judges and lawyers. Continue to travel this road and the end result will be ugly. up America we have slipped from a Democracy to a dynasty of professional
politics dominated for twenty four years by two families-with an attempt
by one family to add another eight years (Clintons). The federal
congress has become a closed membership club of self-interest politics
slipping to a national performance rating of less than 20% . Over many decades Washington has become a hotbed of professional
politics dividing the nation on social issues and poisoning the stream of genuine human
relationships nationwide. We watch as Washington insider
professional politicians run for president and congress just to maintain the status
quo. Dracula is indeed in charge of the blood bank and does not
want to give up one ounce of the blood supply. We have a crisis in government
leadership. If our nation
remains a moral compass and guiding beacon to the rest of the world,
this nation will have a destiny that will reach into the eternities-but
it will take strong leadership. We have a
heavy responsibility. The price of freedom is not cheap. We must be ever
vigilant. We must beware of weak but ambitious leaders that try to slip
through the political portals of our nation. Man in almost every political situation can become drunk with
power and tyranny can become his by-product. This nation is not exempt
from tyrannical forces at work in the world today. A

deaf today to the approach of tyranny because we have lived so long
under the protection of the Constitution that we take for granted the
blessings of liberty. But the framers of the Constitution having had
bitter experience with tyranny, wrote it with the purpose to preserve

the Roman concepts and the abuses against property rights and human

say here and now that in the whole history of the human race, from Adam

sometimes proclaiming and endowment of freedom, sometimes promising help

Does
this talk on the U.S. Constitution sound familiar in the 2008 Democrat presidential run?
Politics has almost always been the business of a neatly managed and
packaged mirage. What we think we see most often is an illusion
created by the marketing masters of political candidates. We have
to look beyond the obvious to discover the real truth about a candidate
and even then the discovery is difficult. It is like a beautifully
wrapped package that has been promised to contain the pearl of great
price. After pealing away layer after layer of wrappers we find a
common rock complete with detestable and distorted blemishes instead of
the pearl of great price. A LOOK AT THE OBAMA DISGUISE The
portion of the talk on the U.S. Constitution by J. Rueben Clark is worth
repeating; "And let me
say here and now that in the whole history of the human race, from Adam
until now, Tyranny has never come to live with any people with a placard
on his breast bearing his name. He always comes in deep disguise
sometimes proclaiming and endowment of freedom, sometimes promising help
to the unfortunate and downtrodden, not by creating something for those
who do not have, but by robbing those who have. But Tyranny is always a

flock, saving none. Perhaps without question the most responsible job in the world is president of the United States of America. History makes the case that no other nation has had or will have a greater influence for good on the entire family of nations-regardless of the radical judgments of our enemy nations and our enemies within. Judging from political remarks surrounding the Obama campaign America is really a mean nation. Watch out for our enemies from within! In this nuclear age and the world of the future the man or woman occupying the president's chair must wear no disguise. They have to come with core values and credentials to govern the greatest nation on earth and present a depth of national history, knowledge and/or experience in dealing with the world of other nations. American voters that hire that CEO must know who that person really is, where they came from and what they bring with them for the job. In other words they must bring a resume that will stand up under the greatest of scrutiny. Even many past presidents with seemingly good credentials have had big trouble navigating the turbulent waters of this difficult job as president of the United States. Barack Obama does not come with a resume that begins to meet the qualifications to be president of the United States even his questionable citizenship. His greatest assets for the job appear to be the oratory of a slick talking lawyer, the ego of a very naive politician and the recklessness of youth. History teaches us that combination can most often be a very volatile attitude that translates into arrogance with a blurred view of reality. A blurred view of reality through arrogance is not conducive to a good decision making process under any conditions. The office of president of the United States should be the last choice of location for on the job training by an arrogant trainee. THE PUBLIC PROPOSALS AND DECLARATIONS OF BARACK OBAMA The public declarations are the only measuring stick the nation has of Barack Obama. So far that measuring stick says we are watching a guy with arrogance that has pushed himself way in over his head. Certainly he came out of nowhere with a resume devoid of any experience other than a "community organizer and political agitator for Acorn." His other public service is short lived but long enough to earn him the title of the most ultra-liberal in the U.S. Senate. His oratory and ability to read a teleprompter in the Democratic convention of 2004 caught the eye of the liberal wing of the Democrat party. Undoubtedly some in the back planning rooms of the party were salivating with thoughts of; "Here is one we can slip through without a lot of scrutiny. There is not really much on him only a brief history. Because he is black the media is likely to give him a free pass. Any shots at him by Republicans can be countered with the accusation of racial prejudice. It almost worked." Then started to come the public declarations of Obama and a staff of a reported 300 advisors failed to hide the disguise; OBAMA ON TAXES: Increase every major federal tax, allow the Bush tax cuts to expire, double the capital gains tax, double tax on dividends, corporate tax increases, increase death tax, increase payroll tax on high income tax payers. Anyone with a brain cell working, experience or no experience, would know such increase in taxation would be the perfect formula for an economic depression with an economy already struggling in an energy crisis. This sounds like a personal agenda for disaster to pay for all the Obama promises of entitlement made to get elected. OBAMA ON HEALTH INSURANCE: National Health Insurance is straight out of the playbook and the favorite of far-out left wing Democrats that see big government as the savior of the stupid Americans that cannot think for themselves. This is one of those great causes where the government starts out to build a Horse and ends up with a Camel and the hump cost taxpayers billions of dollars for decades. The flip side takes away freedom of choice by Americans, creates more government bureaucracies, slaps the free enterprise system in the face. Calling all taxpayers here comes big government to do it for you! Where have we heard that before? OBAMA ON OTHER MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR PROPOSALS: $60B over 10 years for a National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank. $72B for increase of federal spending on education. $65B a year to the UN toward reduction of poverty. $150B for people to build new "Green Technologies." $60B for an energy plan for a party that votes against no against any plan to create new energy. $14B for a national service plan. Other proposed tax credits to fill in the gaps. OBAMA ON APPOINTMENT OF IDEOLOGICAL JUDGES TO THE SUPREME COURT: OBAMA in his brief term in the U.S. Senate has already staked claim to the title of the most ultra liberal in the U.S. Senate beating out John Kerry and Ted Kennedy. He has declared that he would appoint Supreme Court Justices like David Souter and Ruth Bader Ginsburg the two most ultra liberals on the Court. Just what the nation needs-judges that can pass an ideological test regardless of their past legal qualifications. Perhaps Obama would make a good commander in chief of the ideological "Culture War" now raging in the nation. Perhaps Obama's friend the Reverend Jeremiah Wright could be appointed as top general on the ground in the culture war and design a surge to quickly create a utopia of peace without God. OBAMA
ON
MORAL RESPONSIBILITY & PERSONAL ASSOCIATIONS:
Without question the nation is begging
for national leaders with moral responsibility and discipline guided by core character
values rather than partisan political goals and ulterior motivation. Barack
Obama offers little history of reasonable judgment when it comes to moral
responsibility in his associations. Certainly he appears to be somewhat family
centered and oriented and should be credited for that. But when it comes to
associations his judgment is seriously called into question. His
associations appear to be convenient to just another Chicago lawyer and
politician. The prime example is his twenty year
association in The United Church of Christ, led by reverend Jeremiah Wright whom
Obama admitted
became his personal and family spiritual mentor. A church where he
made large financial contributions and became an advocate of black
liberation theology. The nation quickly learned of Wright's sermons of
Jihad type hate and venom toward
America along with his racial bias.
But Obama declared publicly after 20 years he was not aware of those
sermons even though Jeremiah Wright had been removed from the VIP
list when Obama made his run for the Senate? Finally when it
became politically expedient Obama cut his ties with the Jeremiah Wright
relationship and threw him under the bus. Pick one or more; is this an example of poor judgment, lack
of moral responsibility or just another Chicago politician like we
have seen for years? Frankly this Obama 20-year association
is somewhat scary and why? This rhetoric from Jeremiah Wright
sounds like our Muslim Jihad enemies that hate the west and have vowed
the destruction of America. One has to wonder just how much a part
of these Jihad sermons became a part of this presidential
candidate. Pick one or more,
is this an example of poor judgment, lack
of moral responsibility, a jihad doctrine sympathizer, or just another Chicago politician like we
have seen for years? Then there is the questionable relations with Tony Rezko. Rezko is currently facing federal charges of attempted extortion, money laundering and fraud. After an Obama denial of any close association it was discovered that there was an exchange of money between Obama and Rezko regarding some real estate financing. Pick one or more, is this an example of poor judgment, lack of moral responsibility or just another Chicago politician like we have seen for years? Then
there is the Obama association with confessed terrorist bomber Bill
Ayers. Ayers, the weather underground terrorist admits to
bombing the Pentagon, New York City police headquarters and other
targets in the 1960's and 1970's. Ayers was on as a supporter of
Obama at the start of his political career and has held fundraisers for
the Obama campaigns-even speaking for him in these campaigns.
Ayers has expressed disappointment that he and his group were not more
successful in their terrorist bombing activities. Pick one
or more, is this an example of poor judgment, lack
of moral responsibility or just another Chicago politician like we
have seen for years? OBAMA ON ABORTION: "If my own daughters became pregnant as teenagers, I would favor abortion rather than punishing them with a baby." He voted against legislation in the Illinois State Senate that would prevent an abortion from taking the life of the baby that was kept alive outside the mother's womb after an abortion had been attempted. He also has opposed legislation that prohibits partial birth abortion. He supports government funding for abortion for low income women. OBAMA ON GAY MARRIAGE: Obama has promised as president he would repeal (DOMA) defense of marriage act. The DOMA act is a protection for states against being forced to recognize gay marriages by other states or the federal government. He opposes the initiative on the California ballot this year that would define marriage in California as a union between a man and a woman. OBAMA ON THE WAR AGAINST TERROR: Barack Obama has never worn a military uniform. His politics caused him to vote against the war in Iraq and also caused him to vote against the "Surge" in Iraq. He will not admit the surge worked in Iraq because he believes his proposed ideas may have been better suited. He would unconditionally remove troops from Iraq in 16 months if he became president without having consulted with Generals conducting the war. He supports the troops but would betray 8000 young men and women that sacrificed their life for this war in favor of his own political timetable when victory is within reach. He has never been to Afghanistan prior to July 2008 but has detailed how he would conduct the war on that front apparently without any in-depth consulting with the Generals actually running the war. His staged campaign trip abroad to consult with major leaders as a PR stunt to shore up his image of inexperience in international affairs backfired. It would have been great if he were seeking the electoral votes in those socialist countries because his own socialist policies have appeal there. That trip merely highlighted his inexperience with his arrogance and audacity to appear presidential in international affairs. There is no place for an on-the-job trainee acting as commander in chief. OBAMA ON ENERGY: Obama says NO to oil drilling outside present oil company leases. He says NO to development of coal for energy. He says NO to nuclear plant energy development. He says; "The current energy problem is not that gasoline prices are so high but because the prices rose so quickly." He sticks to the liberal play book that all energy problems should be subordinated to environmental considerations. He is a proponent of global warming and would push that program as president. OBAMA ON OTHER POLITICAL AND SOCIAL ISSUES: Many Americans with good reason are uneasy today at the mention of various names. Names like Louis Farrakhan, Colonel Gadaffi, Sadam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden. Although over two dozen previous American presidents have used their full name Barack Hussein Obama and his campaign have gone to great length to avoid the use of the middle name Hussein in the packaging of this presidential candidate's image. Obviously the left leaning media has not insisted upon the use of a full name for presidential candidates. Barack Hussein Obama was born the son of Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a Muslim who married Barack's mother while still married to his first wife. Barack Jr. has not legally changed his name and appears annoyed at the mention of his middle name. Another politically expedient decision. Although a close confidant of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright for 20 plus years the skeletons are rattling like a saber in this closet. Wright traveled to Libya with Louis Farrakhan in the 1980's to visit Colonel Gadaffi. In 2007 Trumpet magazine published and edited by Wright's daughter presented the Trumpeter Award to Farrakhan, saying that it truly epitomized greatness. Wright is quoted in the article offering praise of Farrakhan as one of the 20th and 21st center giants of the African American religious experience and also praised Farrakhan's integrity and honesty. Barack Obama appears to find many statements politically expedient although not true. In a Hillary Clinton debate he identified himself as a constitutional law professor and the truth is he was a lecturer. He identifies himself as a Christian but side steps that issue when it is politically expedient. Recently he said he voted for welfare reform in the Senate when he voted against it. He said he was on a committee in the Senate when he was not on that committee. And there are other statements made by this candidate that are patently untrue. We
all make mistakes and misstatements in our lives, it is only human to err. That
however is a vast difference between knowing what is true and what is false and
choosing to make false statements for ulterior motives. Perhaps the Savior has given us
the best standard to use in our beliefs about others. In
Matthew 7: 15-20 the Savior said; "Beware of false prophets,
which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening
wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather
grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree
bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil
fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a
corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not
forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore
by their fruits ye shall know them." PRESIDENT
