To wake up a nation to America's greatest threat-homegrown terrorism (crime in America). A nation that has been lulled to sleep by professional politicians and the major news media focusing the nation's attention on the narrow window of Iraq. Thousands of shallow graves dot the land with our women and children-over 90,000 murders in America since 911-many of these murders are more heinous and gruesome than in the offshore terror war. Predators roam the countryside looking for their next victim. Gangs now total over 40,000 even coming into the rural areas of the nation. Over 570,000 criminals released each year back out on the street to start their crimes over again. Another 3.5 million to be released during the next five years. The drunk drivers have killed more Americans than in all our wars combined and they are still being arrested after more than 20 prior arrests. We have a revolving door criminal justice system with criminal lawyers the chief beneficiaries. We have bad laws that punish victims and protect the criminals. The bottom line is we have a lawyer dominated nation that includes the law making bodies of the nation and a judicial system that is broken! We now face a 350% crime increase since 1960 with targeted estimates of a huge increase for the future. Only a loud consolidated voice by the masses can change this collision course with vigilante justice and ultimate anarchy. Take a look at what is left of my Granddaughter's car. Some apparent Gang
members were provoked as she drove on a public street. Noticing they were
following her she parked in a public parking lot and went into a building seeking safety.
Upon returning to her car-it had been demolished with front and rear windows
bashed in, shoe prints on the hood and top of the car with huge dents,
doors bashed in and side mirrors ripped off. No help from law enforcement.

After the 911 attack in 2001, this author was the first one out of the gate to declare America's greatest threat is homegrown terrorism not offshore terrorism. Look at history the great nations have always been destroyed from within. Look at these startling facts and statistics;

@In the offshore war on terror-including 911 through the end of 2006 the USA has suffered approximately 8000 fatalities. The direct and indirect cost of that war has been approximately $1.0 trillion dollars.

@In the undeclared war on crime in America (Homegrown Terrorism) during the same period of time ending 2006 the USA has suffered over 80,000 fatalities through murder. Many of these murders are more heinous and gruesome than has occurred in the offshore war on terror. The direct and indirect cost of that undeclared war has been approximately $3.375 trillion dollars.

@The USA now leads all nations in violent crime and leads all nations with incarcerations now standing at 2.3 million.

@In the 13-year period ending 2002, over 159,000,000 million crimes were committed against American citizens. Numbers taken from the USJ and UCR where total reporting is not required-probably much higher.

@For the first time in the history of the nation one of every hundred Americans is in jail or in prison according to a new report that documents America as the number one incarcerator.

@According to a recent poll by polling firm Cooper & Secrest Associates when asked which threat they took most seriously, 69% of those polled chose violent crime in America as the greatest threat and 19% chose the offshore terrorist attack.

@More than 570,000 criminals are released back out on the street each year and the majority start their criminal career over again. A recent study estimates that 3.5 million criminals will be released over the next 5 years.

@Over 2 million illegal immigrants have committed crimes in our nation and are ready to be deported. There are 80,000 known illegal immigrants with criminal record in America and law enforcement does not even know where they are. Do we have to wait for one of our cities to be nuked to stop this insanity?

Crime In America

Perhaps this lack of resolve to declare war on crime is symptomatic of another serious problem. Could it be that the declaration of war against crime would call for serious political and legal justice reform-greatly altering the way our nations lawyers (on and off the bench) are doing business? Could it be because our lawmaking bodies and judicial government are dominated by lawyers (65% in the federal congress and 100% in the judicial branch) and lawyers derive a large share of their revenue from the criminal culture? Could it be our government does not want to contend with the economic impact?

The Trial lawyers association was the largest single contributor during the presidential election of lawyer Bill Clinton. We saw little if any legal or justice reform during that 8-year administration. In fact we saw many activities that cried out for legal justice reform. Undoubtedly this same source (Trial Lawyers Association) was the largest single contributor during lawyers’ John Kerry and John Edwards presidential election campaign in 2004. Let us be brutally frank! The direct and indirect cost of crime annually in the USA is over $700 billion American dollars (USJD). This does not include the additional billions of cost for immorality not yet translated into crime. Consider the payroll feeding from this trough all the way from the bottom feeders to the top feeders in the food chain. If the criminal culture in our society was to be largely eliminated, we would see a substantial rise in unemployment in what is now considered to be vital areas in our society. Judges, lawyers, law firms, courts and court personnel, law enforcement, correctional and prison executives and employees, probation and parole personnel, the media, court tv programs, collateral professions and the list goes on. If we have a dominant lawyer government culture in place that can prevent such a collapse-you figure the math! Have we got a conscious or sub-conscious conspiracy (that is money and politically driven) on our hands that is designed to actually support the criminal culture? God forbid what a thought!

With the millions of casualties and fatalities in the undeclared war on crime (terror) in America, when will we declare war on crime and start calling for the heads of the generals conducting the legal war on crime? During the presidential campaign of 2004 the mention of home-grown terrorism was totally absent from the rhetoric because it had no political value. With the billions of dollars we have spent for social crime bills, we could buy a remote island, send all of our criminals there and use only sharks for guards!

The message here calls for a quick, thorough study and review of the crime war in America (home-grown terrorism) and immorality as the feeder. This review and study panel must be a blue ribbon panel much like the 9/11 commission and must consist of a non-lawyer and non-politician majority. The study and review must include a thorough study and review of the hodgepodge of criminal laws that govern this nation, the loopholes, the politics in the system, the injustices, the sentencing guidelines, prison and parole practices, the penal system, high tech crime, lack of uniform justice throughout the judicial system, juvenile justice and every other factor touching the criminal justice system. The panel then must proceed with recommendations for reform. We must then proceed to massive political and legal justice reform based upon the findings. That failing, revolution, vigilante justice and anarchy could well be our nation’s greatest threat in the future-not the threat of offshore terrorism.
