Terrorism is a controversial subject with multiple definitions. One definition means a violent action targeting civilians exclusively. Another definition is the use or threatened use of violence for the purpose of creating fear in order to achieve a political, economic, religious, or ideological goal. Webster's definition of terrorism is the use of terror or violence to intimidate, to terrify with great fear to control. Webster's definition of violence is physical force intended to cause injury or destruction, an urge driven by force, vehement, impetuous, forcible, furious, severe. We will use Webster's definition and declare by definition that violent crime in America (murder, assault, domestic violence, child abuse, rape, kidnapping, gang banging or any other crime committed through fear and force) is homegrown terrorism. Why Are Americans Not Focused On Homegrown Terrorism? The answer is amazingly simple! The atrocious, heinous murder of 80,000 Americans in homegrown terrorism since 911 is not a hot political issue! Professional politicians and the public media (Fox News excepted) have focused the nation on offshore terrorism and the Iraq war in an unbelievable political culture tug of war. It is not the writer's intent here to address the question of troops in Iraq. Almost daily the media will give the body count of Americans killed in Iraq but will never give the comparable body count of those murdered by homegrown terrorists in America. Professional politicians and the public media will parrot each other in the most shameful, hypocritical display of politics this nation has ever been subjected to. As professional politicians berate the offshore terrorism war in Iraq with a current body count of 3000 plus in the 6-year war, never and I mean never will they compare that with the body count of 80,000 Americans murdered in that same period of time in America and the cost that far exceeds the cost of offshore terrorism. The parents, friends and family of victims of homegrown terrorism and offshore terrorism are equally saddened and sorrowful. Why Did America Have A 350% Increase In Crime Since 1967? Don't let anyone kid you about the answer to this question. Some will say it is because we have had a population increase. The factual response to that answer is that even when you discount the population increase American still had a 295% increase in crime during that period. Many experts will raise the issues of economics, poverty, sociological, psychological and other causes that make crime (homegrown terrorism) a very complex question. In reality the cause is not complex it is fundamental and simple. (1) Any free society is a reflection of its laws and how those laws are administered and (2) A reflection of how society respects the higher moral laws. Anyone who is an honest student of social patterns in America will have to admit we are in deep trouble in both of these areas. The higher moral laws beginning with the Ten Commandments and all morality related is the target of a counter-culture that for the past few decades is trying to create a utopia of peace without God. The man-made laws reflect a judicial system that is broken from the weight of the dominant lawyer culture, politics and the legal services monopoly. The criminal justice system has turned into a revolving door justice system. DWI's have killed more Americans than in all our wars combined and some with as many as 40 prior arrests are still out on the street. We are the most violent nation on earth. We lead all the nations in the number imprisoned with over 2 million. Over 570,000 inmates are released upon society annually and there are now over 5 million ex-inmates out on the street. There are over 80,000 illegal immigrants with known criminal records in America and we don't even know where they are. Best estimates are that over 40,000 gangs roam the streets of America. Now this statement will blow you away! Regarding justice in America, in the federal congress 65% of that body are lawyers, in the Executive branch of government 25 of the 45 presidents are now or have been lawyers, in the 3rd branch of government-the judicial we have 9 lawyers with robes on. So what this translates into is we have lawyers making the laws, lawyers prosecuting us in the laws, lawyers defending us in the laws, lawyers judging us in the laws, lawyers interpreting the laws and lawyers administering the laws. Is this a constitutional nightmare? Can you see where there is an economic benefit in crime and who is the beneficiary? Crime (homegrown terrorism) and the growth of crime will not change in America until there is massive legal justice reform and that is like taking a favorite bone away from a very large vicious Doberman! What Can Americans Do About Homegrown Terrorism (Crime)? There
is only one solution! Legal justice reform! I will predict if that solution is not
confronted that homegrown terrorism (crime) will force Americans into
vigilante justice and the nation will ultimately enter into
anarchy. Americans will not be able to overcome the counter-
culture crusading for a secular society without God and violence and
extreme behavior will increase. Freedom of Speech will continue
to be stretched to the absolute limit with every type of immoral
product and ideas to support that secular society. Professional
politics will ultimately split the nation into red and blue states and
there will no longer be one nation under God. With this
calamity there is only one solution. Our laws, our justice
system, our entire legal system and prison system will have to undergo a radical and
drastic change to cope with homegrown terrorism. That failing,
many in the nation will resort to vigilante justice and anarchy will
follow.
