DWI
THE MOST DANGEROUS
HOMEGROWN
TERRORIST IN AMERICA
We
hear a lot of rhetoric about overcoming the DWI problem and much of
that rhetoric is honestly intended.
To win the DWI war we need only to focus upon two issues; (1)
Choice and consequence and (2) Swift and sure punishment. Both issues
are missing in action as we see DWI’s back out on the street after
as many as twenty driving offenses and two chief judges in New Mexico
get caught in the legal net.
Now
lets look at the cause that leads up to the problem. The use of
alcohol in America is a huge paradox.
On the one hand judges, lawyers, lawmakers, celebrities, sports
figures, politicians, professionals and millions of John and Jane Does
get stoned driving while impaired and few get caught in the legal web.
The alcohol industry is a powerful political lobby at state and
federal levels of the government.
Manufacturing, distribution, marketing and sale of alcohol are
no small economic factors in the free-enterprise system.
On
the other hand, alcohol may well be the source of more misery, cost,
loss, accidents and death, broken families, crime and immorality than
any other single product in our society.
While one segment of the nation relaxes with a Martini or their
favorite alcoholic drink, another segment of society is getting drunk,
spending the family paycheck, committing crimes of domestic violence,
child abuse, murder, rape and other immoral acts, filling up the
jails, crowding the courtroom calendars, keeping law-enforcement
officials busy, driving while intoxicated, killing, maiming and
terrorizing millions of unsuspecting Americans.
This factual picture is indeed a paradox.
While
Americans cry out to lawmakers and politicians to stop the DWI
carnage, social engineers point to alcohol as a disease and that is
pure hogwash! Alcohol is
a serious choice and consequence issue. And the use of alcohol is a
bad choice! New Mexico
has consistently led the nation in DWI and now the State
continues to add another dimension to the DWI problem.
Not one but two chief judges of district courts in the state
(Brennan and Fitch) have been caught in the legal net within the
recent past. Some say but
that is only two out of a much greater number of judges.
One is too many! To
whom much is given-much is expected.
Factual statistics are the best measure we can rely upon.
There are many who simply have not been caught.
Then when they are caught, we see the dominant lawyer culture
on and off the bench rush to their defense.
These two judges both began with thirty days of voluntary
removal while the public uproar subsided. Ultimate punishment is
little if any! It finally takes a public outcry to cause a
resignation. Dracula is
in charge of the Blood Bank
The
last thing you can expect from an alcohol abuser is recognition and
admission of truth and facts. It
is this basis upon which all justice must depend.
Undoubtedly some of those who came before Judge Fitch and Judge
Brennan who now have a prison address must question justice in the
American judicial system.
Finally
to the question of homegrown terrorism. Alcohol related accidents in
the USA have killed more Americans than all our wars combined.
71 people are killed each day in the USA from alcohol related
accidents. 708,000 people are injured annually in the USA from alcohol
related accidents. 51% of
crime is alcohol related. Estimates
are that only 200 of every 2000 alcohol impaired drivers are arrested
and very few receive a stiff penalty.
DWI’s are the most dangerous and feared homegrown terrorists
in America. What is the
difference between a suicide car bomber and a DWI coming down the
road? Death is generally
the end result. These facts leave us without argument.
High public office requires high moral standards.
Bad behavior and conduct are the byproducts of immoral
standards. Immorality is
simply the embryo stage of crime.
With a 350% increase in crime during the past 40-years and
DWI’s leading the way through the revolving door justice system, who
can argue that the number one priority in America is the need for
legal justice reform.
Every
society is a mirrored reflection of it's laws and the judicial system
that administers those laws! If that system is political, corrupt,
self-serving, anti-constitutional then equity and justice for citizens
becomes about as sure as a game of Russian roulette. Under the U.S.
Constitution and Bill Of Rights, A legal system and it's laws should
be a safety net for the innocent, a protection for law-abiding
citizens, a shelter for the abused and yes a place of retribution in
favor of those who have been victimized. When a legal system becomes
the abuser, disregarding constitutional rights and further victimizing
those victims who are seeking a safe harbor, the reflection of laws in
that society begins to turn ugly. That ugliness ripples through
society and the fallout will have far reaching consequences.
If
you accept the premise that a society is a mirrored reflection of it's
laws and the administration of those laws, America is a nation in
deep, deep trouble! The crisis reaches into every vital area of
society including but not limited to constitutional, political,
economic, financial, governmental, justice, social, moral and
spiritual.
There
are many men and women who have chosen to be a lawyer and devoted
their professional lives to equity and justice. These people are not
the target of this report. There is a greater number of the lawyer
fraternity however, who have different motives and have not been so
noble. In fact, as a general culture and class, lawyers are destroying
America, turning this nation and American justice into a financial and
political self-serving game, grinding out victims by the millions
annually.
Client
benefit, true equity and justice has been and is being subordinated to
the financial and political business opportunity concept by lawyers in
America today. Equity and justice is for sale to the highest bidder.
Because of lawyer monopoly of the legal services profession, many
Americans cannot afford to pay the ransom demanded by the lawyer
monopoly to buy a shot at justice.
*
159,000,000 million personal and property crimes were committed
against American citizens during a recent 13 year period, with a 26%
clearance arrest record. When that 26% was turned over to the judicial
system, the percentages go down through plea bargains, back room
political deals and God only knows what else. A sad commentary for the
American criminal justice system. Direct and indirect cost of
crime in America is now costing taxpayers a staggering $675 billion
dollars annually. America leads the world in prison population. *
America has the highest tort tax in the world that now exceeds
$1200.00 for every man, woman and child. We cannot be competitive in
the international market place. Who pays that tort tax, none other
than the American consumer.
*
We are the most litigious society on earth with over 95 million
lawsuits filed annually at a cost exceeding $300 billion dollars
effecting the gross national product.
*
Over 70% of low to middle income Americans can no longer afford the
cost of justice in America.
*
We have two standards of justice, the "Model T" brand and
the "Cadillac brand". Those who have money get the Cadillac
brand and those who don't have money go to prison or bankruptcy court.
*
Over 30 billion annually is extracted from the medical and insurance
fields by lawyers looking to extort a settlement from the deep pockets
in those professions. This drives us consumer prices for health
care.
*
We have laws and rules stacked end to end which would fill up the
super dome in New Orleans. Yet we have a legal mentality that looks at
a given dispute and says "If we can't find any law that has been
broken we may have to pass a new one".
*
We have a judicial system where politics, fraud, conspiracy,
deception, perjury, dishonesty and obstruction of justice is the order
of the day by the dominant lawyer culture who operate the system. This
translates into a giant mirror for society that if it happens in the
judicial system, you can get away with it in society. Is the judicial
system teaching immorality on the face? Nobody is responsible, nobody
is guilty, nobody is wrong, there is no real consequence for wrong
doing as long as lawyers can profit from the issue.
