Washington,  D.C.  Area:  Eleven people have been shot and nine killed with a single bullet for each over a period of two weeks.  None of the people were related, the shootings did not appear to be racially motivated.  It appeared to be random killings by a sadistic monster(s) for the joy of killing.  All of the victims were going about their business or activity in a routine manner; one was cutting grass, one was cleaning her car, one had just finished pumping gas, one was shot near a post office in a retirement community and one was killed as she vacuumed her car at a service station, one was killed as she loaded purchases into her car from Home Depot.  Posted 10/15/02.
