Albuquerque, N.M.; On labor day, 2002, Justin Mishall said he had six beers and was drinking another and talking on a cell phone when his speeding SUV hit and killed 14-year old Reese Nord on his bicycle crossing in an intersection. Passengers in Mishall's vehicle warned the driver about the boy and he apparently disregarded the warning. LAWYER DAVID SERNA now questions whether the state could prove his client was LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE for the boy's death. Serna said his client may only be guilty of DWI. Albuquerque, N.M.; Federal judge James Parker issued an order on 9/18/02 putting the welfare of the endangered "silvery minnow" ahead of the welfare of thousands of New Mexico residents and millions of dollars worth of vital projects, including a $192 million project to tap the Rio Grande river for drinking water. Las Cruces, N.M.; 4-year old boy dies after stepfather orders him beaten for bed-wetting. The victim Devon Booth was left lying unconscious on the floor of the home over night before help was called. The boy's stepfather Louie Guerrero entered a plea of not guilty and was jailed in lieu of $500,000 bond. Commentary; Look at changing law on child abuse resulting in death to punishment as a capital crime or automatic life in prison. Posted 9/25/02

Albuquerque, N.M.; Judge Barbara Brown of the Albuquerque Metro court was convicted by jury of using a telephone to harass, intimidate or threaten a Metro Court probation officer. Other rock throwing counts of misconduct was dismissed. Brown was sentenced to 2 1/2 years probation. She is still on paid suspension. Brown says she will appeal and will not resign. Commentary; Judiciary taking care of it's own-don't disturb the power! Posted 9/25/02.

Santa Fe, N.M.; Driver with 7 DWI's allegedly hit a Colorado couple with his truck, dragging the woman for five blocks and then abandoning the woman, Helen Cote, who was left in critical condition. The drunk, John P. Chavez was driving on a revoked license. He has entered a not guilty plea. Helen Cote's husband Michael Cote was also injured in the hit and run. Commentary; New Mexico is the DWI capital of the nation. Society is a reflection of it's laws and how those laws are administered. Time to charge judges with accessory to crimes after they let these (accidents going someplace to happen) back out on the street.

Espanola, N.M.; New Mexico judge received a 90-day "house arrest" as punishment after secret video clearly showed the judge on a number of occasions would take women, mostly traffic ticket violations, into his chambers and use his authority to trade sex for dismissal of the offenses. The women filed a lawsuit and the State settled for $300,000.00. Meanwhile the judge goes on his merry way. Commentary; Judicial corruption (behind closed doors) poses a great danger to this nation.

Albuquerque, N.M., 12/30/02; A 3-year old boy was rushed to the hospital extremely intoxicated suffering from a Shaken Baby Syndrome. The boy's mother and her boyfriend were arrested on felony child abuse charges. Commentary; Adult stupidity and irresponsibility is a huge danger for children.

Albuquerque, N.M., 12/30/02: An 11-month old girl was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The child's mother told police her boyfriend had stepped on the child twice when getting out of bed to use the restroom. The death is classified as suspicious. Commentary; More adult stupidity and irresponsibility. A small dog has got a better chance.

Albuquerque, N.M., 1/21/03: Carolyn Rustvold, an occupational therapist who worked at Montezuma school was murdered in her classroom. Martin Saiz, a 20-year old janitor is being held on $1 million dollar bond has been charged with an open count of murder based upon evidence. The body has not been found. Commentary; Good and evil is becoming more blatantly defined.

Albuquerque, N.M., 1/23/03: Margaret Klinke fled to California to escape her stalking boyfriend. The boyfriend Patrick Lee Kennedy tracked her down, shot and killed her then shot and killed himself. In Bernalillo County, New Mexico a restraining order was issued. A hearing was postponed by the prosecutor. The next hearing was postponed by the defense attorney. The lawyer with the robe on agreed to both postponements. Commentary; An innocent woman is now dead while the dominant lawyer culture gets there house in order-lawyers destroying the nation!
